Alexander Technique was developed by an Australian, F. Matthias Alexander (1869-1955). Through his own health challenges and many years of observation and insights, Alexander developed a method of improving posture, function and freedom of movement in daily life. It is an educational process which guides you to greater awareness of your habits and leads to conscious choices in the way you are thinking and operating. In other words, it is a method of shedding the conditioned mind-body habits, while consciously acquiring new habits. This then leads to greater emotional-physical freedom and authenticity.
